Robotic Tool Changer

Also known as Automatic Tool Changer or Robotic Coupler.

A robot component that has two mating parts (tool and master) that are designed to lock together automatically (typically using pneumatic pressure) and are able to pass utilities (e.g. pneumatic supply, electrical signals, water, etc.). The tool side of the tool changer mounts to tooling, such as welders, grippers or deburring tools. The master side of the tool changer mounts to a robot, or other structure. A robotic tool changer is also known as an automatic tool changer, robot tool changer, robot coupler, robotic coupler, and robotic connector.
