Restricted Envelope Space

Also known as Restricted Work Envelope.

The maximum distance the robot can travel after the limiting device is activated. That is, the portion of the work envelope to which a robot is restricted by limiting devices that establish limits that will not be exceeded in the event of any reasonably foreseeable failure of the robot or its controls.
