Industrial Automation

A system that uses numerical control to run industrial processes and machinery, replacing human operators. Industrial automation is a step beyond mechanisation, in which humans are provided with machinery to assist them with the physical requirements of work. Some advantages of automation are tighter quality control, repeatability, integration with business systems, waste reduction, increased productivity and reduction of labour.
