Ethernet

A Local Area Network (LAN) bus-oriented, hardware technology that is used to connect computers, terminal concentrators (servers), printers, and many other devices together. It consists of a master cable and connection devices at each machine on the cable that allow the various devices to "talk" to each other. Ethernets come in varieties such as broadband and baseband and can run on different media, such as coax, twisted pair and fibre.
