Character

One of a set of elements that can be arranged in ordered groups to express information. Each character has two forms:

1. A computer intelligible form, the code, consisting of a group of binary digits (bits).
2. A human-intelligible form, the graphic, including the letters A-Z, the decimal digits 0-9, punctuation marks, and other formatting and control symbols.
